Rusper Sussex Car Boot Sale Rules

The Rusper Sussex Surrey border car boot sale is a relaxed and friendly event. All of our marshals work hard to ensure that our visitors have an enjoyable and safe afternoon at our car boot sale.

At the same time we are required to comply with our own risk assesments and the strict policies of Trading Standards, The Environment Agency, Local Government and of course the land owner.

We take our position and your safety very seriously and will not tollerate the breaking of our rules.

Please abide by our car boot sale rules at all times.

Site Speed limit is 5mph

A 5mph speed limit is in operation throughout the entire site at all times.
Anyone driving without care, attention and consideration is a risk to other peoples safety.
Offenders will be escorted off site and banned.

Np sales or exchanges of goods before 11am at the car boot sale

The time we give stall holders before 11am is to set up their stalls in peace and quiet.
Under no circumstances should stall holders attempt to use this time to buy/sell/trade or reserve goods. This rule is in place to ensure our buyers get a fair chance when the gates open to them.
We will not hesitate to have offenders removed from site if they are caught breaking this rule.

Sellers pitches

A sellers pitch encompasses only the sellers vehicle and the persons and goods in that vehicle.

We do not allow Stall holders to have extra goods dropped off at their stalls and without prior agreement we do not allow extra 'helpers' to join stall holders before 11am.

If this is an issue for you, in order for us to assist, you must send us an email prior to arriving.

Car Boot Sale counterfeit goods

car boot sale illegal goods to sell

The Sussex Surrey car boot is regulary attended by our friends from Trading Standards and the Environment agency. The recent rise in counterfeit goods into the UK means that these illegal and potentially dangerous counterfeits are turning up at Car Boot Sales. To help deter offenders at our event we employ an undercover security agent who is in direct contact with Horsham police.

If you see or are offered counterfeit goods or 'bootleg' items such as cigarettes or alcohol then please act responsibly and report it immediatley to a car boot sale marshal.

We will take all necessary steps to have the offender arrested on site.

The whole team at Rusper endevour to be as vigilant as possible and with the ongoing help of the public we will continue to deter criminals from our relaxed and friendly car boot sale.

If you are unsure that the goods you are selling are suitable or legal at a car boot sale then please call or email us.
